What Is the Film Crew

A weekly hangout for teens who want to make things.

The Film Crew meets weekly for a 5–6 hour block of production time and social time. Teens mentor through the Austin Public Access Producer Program, shooting on real gear, with finished work airing on public access TV.

Drop in anytime. All skill levels welcome, from first-timers to teens who already know their way around a camera.

Students learn on Austin Public Access equipment through the APA Producer Program, and their finished projects air on public access TV. It's not a simulation. It's the real workflow, from setup to broadcast.

No prior experience required. Join anytime in the process and pick up right where the crew is at.
