What Is the Film Crew

A weekly hangout for teens who want to make stuff

The Film Crew meets weekly for a 5 hour block of production and social time. Teens will learn how to use professional equipment in professional studios, shooting with real gear, editing using industry standard software, and their finished works will even air on Austin Public Access TV!

Longtime Austinite with 20+ years in media and music and an RTF degree from UT Austin. Radio host, voiceover artist, and audio/video editor.

Ruhi Quinn

Ruhi Quinn

Mentor

Media maker and documentary filmmaker who has mentored youth in eight countries over 20 years. Dual degrees from UC San Diego.

Award-winning filmmaker and educator with credits at Sundance, SxSW, and Tribeca. He has directed five features, shot 25 more, and taught film at UT, Texas State, and ACC.
