Like most parents, I’d love my teen to have meaningful, fun, creative experiences.

Most youth film programs in the area are limited to spring break and summer, or late hours with all ages. They’re also pretty expensive, or not taught by industry professionals. I wanted to invest my kid’s time — and my money — into high-level instruction from real filmmakers: the kind of experience that builds salable skills, boosts confidence, and gives teens something solid for a resume or college portfolio.

So, working with my sister Ruhi, we put together ATX Youth Media Works for homeschool teens ages 15–18 who love movies, storytelling, and media — and want to turn their passion into real-world skills.
